Here are only a few clues to recognize Avon, this traditional constructer, born in 1885 in the UK. Avon is above all, the indisputable leader of bike tyres, and it has been taking control of championships' prize lists since 1960. Nothing seems to disturb the sober behaviour of an Avon tyre, safe and resistant, always ready to prove its power on dry, wet or snow covered roads. Throughout their history the Avon tyres have been chosen as original equipment by famous constructers, like Aston Martin (one of its most regular partners), Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Land Rover. Avon merged with the American constructer Cooper in 1997. A profitable merging, that has already led to the creation of new bike tyres series, like Azaro, very well received by the speed addicts.
