The WR SUV 3 tire is a winter tire designed for SUVs and crossover vehicles, constructed with a directional tread pattern that provides grip and traction on snowy and wet roads. The tire features a silica-enhanced compound that stays soft in low temperatures and improves braking performance. The WR SUV 3 also incorporates technology that reduces noise and promotes even wear, providing longer lasting performance and a comfortable ride.

For a long time I was tempted to switch to Nokian tyres (especially winter) but held back due to the fact that all Nokian tyres are Made in Russia. Without prejudice but this was a strong point against. Finally I switched (moving from GY SUV + which were much worse than the GY SUV I replaced them with especially on snow and laterally). Overall I would judge the Nokian tyres as marginally better than the SUV+ especially on snow. Significantly worse (aquaplaning, roadholding and breaking on wet). Comparable on dry. Fuel economy and noise, wear are unimportant to me. HOWEVER it may be just lack of luck, but when driving at 160 km/h the tyre blew on me (thankfully the rear one) but in a place showing rather poor product quality (totally on the side) than any abuse from my side nor cutting it on the road. I may be wrong but the MADE IN RUSSIA plays strong to me so will not risk bying Nokian again especially that I never blew a tyre in the past. Maybe pure bad luck but I will not be the one to bet again the life of my family and myself on a supposedly premium product. Sorry Nokian. Gave you a credit but you did not use it well. Now I will have to do significant research on what else is there on the market (with Dunlop not having the dimensions for my car) I am tempted to try Conti TS 850 P SUV or the newer Pirelli Winter (replacing Ice & Snow) but which holds also a weaker reputation than its predecessor.
Would I buy the same tyres: Absolutely not

I was always of high opinion of Nokian tyres and the only thing that deterred my buying them was that they are Made in Russia, which overall is an issue and especially when Russia is under embargo with the rest of the world. However when changing tyres I gave them a try regardless of the production location. Overall the impressions are positive although not overwhelming. I would continue using them for snow and ice conditions however my Goodyear SUV and Dunlop Wintersport M3 tyres are far better for sluch and aquaplaning both in terms of driving stability and breaking as well as latidunal dynamics. You can't have it all in winter tyres. HOWEVER after one season (not even entire) I decided to discontinue using Nokian tyres due to the fact that the tyre blew on me (exploded) when driving at autobahn speeds of 160 km/h. It could happen to any tyre but with over 1 million km I have driven it never happended and especially not on the side of the tyre showing to rather poor quality production than a fault of usage. I will never know the true reason for what happened but my initial thinking of the location of production will remain with me hence sorry Nokian, I gave you a chance, but I will never reconsider and risk the life of my family with your tyres again, at least not until you produce them in state of the art premises. Dear User - take your own decision at your own risk but be forwarned.
