Alexis Nerguisian, keen amateur sportsman and founder/director of Pneus Online, a site selling tyres on the Internet, has a real go-getter temperament.Going off the road enabled him to carry on at top speed. (...) And in fact, wearing out his tyres on the circuits and spending a fortune on his passion was what gave him the idea of creating Pneus Online (...).

With car racing, something he has done since he was a teenager, the amateur driver sometimes goes right up to the limit. Particularly the speed limit. "I'm a speed freak, but not a complete idiot at the wheel. I like car racing played by the rules," he says. While he doesn't hesitate to go all out on the circuits, he remembers a few antics outside the track. "That's my dunce side coming out" (...).

Although never confusing speed with precipitation in business, Nerguisian admits that he is naturally drawn to life in the fast lane. "I've always got a million projects in my head, and my staff often ask me to clarify my priorities," he laughs. (...).

The young banking specialist with a string of diplomas began his professional career in Luxembourg, then moved to Geneva. He made a name as an expert in an asset management software packages, and moved in the world of finance between 1997 and 2005. Paradoxically, that's where he probably learned humility and that "you can take nothing for granted. I've seen companies crash that had turnovers of billions of dollars. You can never sit back on your laurels." (...)
