SP 30 is an asymmetric, summer tyre which features superior braking system and comfortable ride. The tread pattern is specially designed with Asymmetric Tri-area tread pattern. Each of the 3 distinct tread pattern areas are optimized for good balance and braking system. Water is drained quickly by the Hydro paddle tread pattern and longitudinal groove. It also increases the hydroplaning resistance. The longitudinal rail system transfers the lateral force efficiently which improves braking and reduces noise. The large outer shoulder blocks of the Parallelogram block design reduce the disturbing frequencies to give a comfortable ride. The new silica-plus rubber compound provides good grip. The noise level is reduced to a greater extent by the arrangement of the four profile block rows with their corresponding offsets. SP 30 is also termed as the Silent Performer.
